Mr. Feick assumes position Mr. Gaylord Feick Principal P.H.HS. t Mr. Gaylord Feick, previously Assistant Principal, became the Principal at PHH when Mr. Sommerville retired from the position at the end of the first semester. A former chemistry teacher and coun- selor in our school, Mr. Feick became Assistant Principal in 1962. With Mr. Feick’s friendliness and capabilities, he led us through a happy year at PHH.

Mr. Sommerville resigns at mid-year Mr, Colen J. Sommerville resigned as Principal of PHH to accept the position of Supervisor of Industrial Arts and Vocational Education in the school sys- tem. Mr. Sommerville has worked with young people in Port Huron as a teacher, counselor, coordinator, dean of students, and principal during the past fifteen years. Although students and faculty regretted his leaving PHH, they wish him success in his new position. Mr. Colen J. Sommerville Principal P.H.H.S. Mr. Overly heads new In 1962 Mr. James Overly came to Port Huron from Grass Lake, Michigan, where he had been a teacher and a principal. Here at Port Huron High he served as assistant to the principal for two years before being appointed Principal of Mr. James Overly Principal P.H.N.HS. Port Huron Northern High School in spring, 1964. Since then he has worked hard for a smooth transition to the new school and has enthusiastically taken over duties as Principal at PHN.
