3Aei Staled. We £Uie and £ewat The Board of Education, elected by the qualified school electors of the School Dis- trict, has spent countless hours during the current school year in discussing school improvements. Foremost in the minds of the Board members has been the improve- ment of the school curriculum. Each member of the Board is intensely interested in the educational welfare of each pupil enrolled in our schools. The revision of the curriculum to give more opportunities for the academically talented student has been one of the major accomplishments. Although all has not been done that will eventually be accomplished, a good beginning has been made in this im- portant area of organization. The program of Special education, applying to the entire school system, has been expanded during the year. Growth in school population posed a problem of more school facilities. Members of the Board of Education were proud of the progress made in the Port Huron Public Schools and intend to study every possible method of continued improve- ments . Seated; Richard A. Cooley, President; and Thornton S, Kimz, Vice-President. Standing: A. B. Carlisle, Dr, Charles F, Kempf, Mrs, Harlow Meno, F. Bingham Fead, and William H, Brahany, Jr.
