SCHOOL COLEIIDflR SEPTEMBER 9 -Youngsters reported (10th grade). 11 -Wheels returned (Upperclass- men). 11-12-A ' s did it again. Huge success with the Welcome Whirl. 18-Big Reds slaughtered Bay City 43-0. 2 5 -Highland Park bowed to P. H. 51-6. OCTOBER 1 - Little Reds and Sarnia tied 19-19. 2- P. H. goes on undefeated; beat Fordson 38-0. 2-11-B ' s Autumn Whirl one to be remembered. 9 -Little Brown Jug, ours again; 34- 1 3. over Mt. Clemens. 1 6 -Homecoming: beat East Detroit 35- 6. 23-10-B ' s put on annual spotlight. 24-31 -Tired but happy after the annual Washington-New York Trip. 30 -Big Reds still strong; Birming- ham 34-7. NOVEMBER 6-Sad, but still proud. Grosse Pointe 7, P. H. 0. 13 - We came home happy after beating Hazel Park 19-14. 20-21-12-A ' s play Dear Ruth, was super. 26-27-That turkey certainly tasted good. DECEMBER 4-Basketball season started at Flint Northern ' s new gym. 4-We were happy, gay, and care- free at 11-A ' s Sno-Ball. 1 1 - Midland played here. 18-Pontiac welcomed us at basket- ball. 23-Freedom at last--Christmas holidays. 30 -Daly really showed good sports- manship with Toledo Libby here. JANUARY 4-Back to the old grind. 8- East Detroit here for basketball. 9 - Golden Gloves. 12 - Good sportsmanship was shown at Hazel Park game. 14- Seniors reluctantly sang the Fight song for the last time. 15- Sure did cheer at the Ferndale game. 16- There were many knockouts at the Golden Gloves. 17 - Seniors looked stately marching 14 in at Baccalaureate. 18 - Senior Dinner, at Legion Hall. 19- Senior Prom--Hillcrest--Fun. 21 - Seniors walked up the aisle for the last time at Commencement. 22 - Big turnout at Birmingham game. 22-Oh! Those finals again. 22 - The youngsters (10th grade) put on a successful dance. 23- Golden Gloves. 26-Basketball-Grosse Pointe here. FEBRUARY 5 - East Detroit our opponent this time. 6 - Golden Gloves. 9 -Basketball--Hazel Park here. 12 -The ball was certainly flying at the Ferndale game. 19 -Basketball--Birmingham here. 26- Did we ever beat our feet at the 12-A dance. MARCH 2 -Basketball--Mt. Clemens here. 5- 12-B ' s put on the best spotlight yet. 12- 10th grade staged a grand whirl. 19 -20-Senior play was a gay occasion. 27- April 3-What a gay time on the Washington-New York Trip. APRIL 1 6 - Vacation again- -hallelujah. 26-Back to the old brick school- house. 30-There were many a dreamy eye at the J-Hop. MAY 2-9 -National Music Week. 6- Enjoyed Choir assembly. 14-12-B ' s dance brought in a huge crowd. JUNE 10-Seniors assembled for the last time in P. H. H. S. 10 -Senior Picnic --Ants and sand did not impair the Seniors ' appetites. 13- The wise words spoken at Baccalaureate will be heeded by the Seniors. 14- Senior Dinner--Diets were for- gotten when the food appeared. 15- Lots of last-minute rushing, but the Senior Prom was worth it. 17 - Sad, but proud as we received our diplomas. 18 - Our school days gone but not for- gotten.
