THE STUDENT Mr. Tomlinson We, the class of 194-3, have some- thing in common with Mr. Tomlinson; we entered high school together. He has accomplished much in the way of improve ments for the school. In addition he has made our stay at Port Huron High School more interesting and enjoyable. All we can say is, Thank you, Mr. Tom- linson. Mr. Crull Mr. Crull, Superintendent of schools in Port Huron, has proven his capability and friendliness on many occasions. He has been a real inspiration to the stu- dents of Port Huron High School--no greater tribute could we give him. Miss Meehan The class of January, 1943, was fortunate to have Miss Catherine Meehan for adviser. The students of the January class will long remember her for her kindness and expert supervision. Miss Kean Miss Ellen Kean was the very capable adviser of the June cl-ss. She has a special place in our hearts for her kindness and friendly spirit. Through her management the class en- joyed a successful hi?h school career.

FREEMAN DEN TEL With the passing of Freeman Dentel the teachers of Port Huron lost one of their most earnest workers. In the eighteen years that he was a member of our teaching staff he was an ardent sup- porter of the Teachers Club, actively serving on several of their committees. At the time of his death Mr. Dentel was president of the Faculty Men f s Club. He was head of the High School Commercial Department and through his guidance and advice, the department has become one of the finest and most practical in the system. Mr. Dentel was school treasurer for the High School and gave voluntarily many hours to the detailed bookkeeping. To the student body Mr. Dentel was known as an excellent teacher of shorthand, typewriting, commercial law bookkeeping, and economics. He was also a familiar figure at the athletic contests for he was in charge of ticket sales at the gate. He commanded the respect of all who knew him. To Mrs. Dentel and family we express our deepest sympathy.
