Here you see on left, Miss Hyde, Music Director and home room super- visor going over attendance records in her office. On right is Miss Seibert, guidance director and home room super- visor, snapped amid a pile of papers during a busy day. This picture shows Mr. Straffon, in a characteristic pose as he leads our fine band. Two prominent members of our English department. Miss Hoffmeyer and Miss Ballentine were snapped at work. Miss Hoffmeyer tries vainly to clear up the puzzling punctuation situ- ation with a pretty smile. Miss Ballen- tine is caught posting more Shakes- pearean material for her English Lit. students. ♦

Although he is quite new to us. Mr. Crull is already very well-liked. He has proved his capability and has shown a co-operative and friendly spirit. We are sure the classes of the future will enjoy their associations with Mr. Crull. Mr. Tomlinson has been the best of good fellows and his fair play and good humor have won the admiration and respect of each of us. He has taken a great interest in everything and has done much to promote activities which have made our school life more enjoyable and interesting. The June class was a very large one; however, Mr. Phillips managed it well. The co-operative spirit of the class and A1 s willingness to “roll up his sleeves and pitch in” has made all class func- tions very successful, both financially and socially. Miss Laura Moore was the very capable advisor of the January class. T hrough her effort the small class en- joyed a successful High School career topped by a splendid graduation. Orchids to Miss Moore for her excellent job of managing.

Miss Turner corrects papers, prob- ably a shorthand test. Here you also see Miss F. Moore, Cafeteria Manager and Foods instructor, making out the next day’s menu, listing all those good things to eat that so many students have enjoyed throughout the year. “Al’ Phillips obliges our camerman for this full shot. Note the unusually serious expression on his face. Walt Turton, assistant coach and football broadcaster, was snapped amid an excit- ing broadcast. Walt handles all of the athletic events over WHLS. Mr. Lester Reynolds, pictured here in the Shop, is now a member of Uncle Sam’s Navy. He taught in Port Huron High School for two years. Mr. Mont- gomery also is pictured in the Shop. He’s probably thinking about that boat trip he ' s going to take in his fine ship this summer.
