SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 3, 1949, twenty freshmen entered Port Hope High School. The first important happening was the election of officers Dick Heske President, Dick Schluchter Vice President, Secretary Cheryl Doyle, and Treasurer Alice Cadotte. A couple of weeks later the sophomores announced that initiation week would begin on Monday. Of course, all survived and we began to have cand sales, cookie sales and various other money raising activities we also started our sophomore year with an election of officers, they 'GTB 89 follows President cheryl Doyle Vice President Gloria Koglln, Secre ary Alice Cadotte, and Treasurer Bob Pease. In the sprlng we put on a play called Iarry's Big Date . We also sold candy, popcorn and cookies to make money for our class. We decided on cherry red and gre for our class colors, and nEager to Learn, Ready to Do for our motto. Our flower is white carnation. Class officers for our junior year were as follows President Bob Pease, Vice President Dick Meske, Secretary Yvonne Rink, and Treasurer Dick Schluchter. Our play, Pair of Country Kidsn was a huge success We feted the '52 seniors to a junior senior banquet and dance in May We began our senior year by electing class officers President Dick Schluchter, Vice President Beatrice Schave, Secretary Yvonne Rink, and Treasurer Boo Pease In the middle of April we will present Look Out Lizzie l We have monthly bake sales, pop sales, and sponsored a magazine drive In return.for all of our hard work we will take s nine day trip to Niagra Falls, New York, and Washington D. On May 29 we will hold our graduation exercises thereby ending a happy and successful high school career

POETIC PROPHECY OF CLASS OF 1953 Ah, here it is 2000 plus Je're all here without too much fuss, We worked through the years with sunshine and rain But here we are safe together again Oh there's Bob the president of a bank From secretary to president he ju ped in his rank He has lots of money and very few cares But all his 10 children came in pairs Here comes Admiral Meske with his own little fleet Seventeen ships is something to beat After hhm is Yvgnng hig prlvate secretary hom he wishes he could marry Next there's Don Friedland who did very well He owns two butcher shops, isn't that swell9 with Genevieve helping him with his chores He'l1 make a success of his two stores Gloria is pulllng in with her beat up Ford' Doesn't she know that Junk should be storedq Of course she's old fashioned in all her way 'Cause her husband doesn't let her have any say There's Art R Hughie R Cootzie E Joe They're all married and have familys of their own While poor little Boots sits home and groans My sister was sick the other day 00 we went all over each way Trying to find Janet R. the most popular nurse hom we found sleeping,after a huge search Who's this? Why farmer Brown He just came in from plowing the ground While Marilee busy in the kitchen all day Arnie's out side baling his hay Woe unto me there's Kenny Weiss' He joined forces with the Michigan Police He ghgots, he yells and always gets his man Forfthls one reason, we'll give hmm a hand Keith wins a prize for loafing around He won't plant the seed nOr plow up the ground His farm it is large, well kept, and grand 'Cause Joann slaves and works like the band Now ado and farewell so long and good bye We worked hard at life to give it a try To the furure and stuff we now close the door And to you cur good friends we say Au Revior ll O .
