R 3 W S if Joann Finkel ,ll-U1i01' K0g1iI1 Elaine Schave Don Harbin Doris jahn Ken Steinhurst Marilee Lange Ronald Leonard Shirley Cook Lucille Heilig Marvin Schave Sophomore Class History We, the Sophomore Class of '51-'52, opened the year with nineteen students, having lost one student after the twelfth week, We had our first class meeting for the purpose of electing officers, They are as follows: President, jim Hallg Vice -President, Doris jahng Secretary, Marlene Eggertg Treasurer, Elaine Schave, Our class advisor was Mr. Neil Price, but due to his illness he resigned, and we have the new coach, Mr, George P, Henry, We decided upon our class colors, which are yellow and orchidg our class flower, which is a white carnationp and our motto, Today we follow, tomorrow we lead, A few weeks after school began, we sprang initiation on the Freshmen, who were dressed in varied comical costumes, They were tortured by having to walk through various substances and finally shocked by a hot shot, That night we gave them a dance which was held in the Port Hope Gymnasium, Our next class activity was a Roller Skating Party held at Fea1ko's Roller Skating Rink in Harbor Beach, We have high hopes of having candy sales and various different activities in which to make money for future experiences,
