NexT, Jackie Nehls will go To Mexico during The summer. By far The mosT ouTsTanding acTiviTy of The AFS-chapTer was The lnTernaTional TalenT Show To which many sTudenTs came. Many foreign language sTudenTs had a performance prepared. Like so many years before, The AFS chapTer also had a very successful spagheTTi dinner in April. They started with the Pigskin Swing for Muscular Dystrophy, con- tinued with a bake sale and sweet- heart message sale, and finished with a car wash for a chlldren's hos- pital. The Redskin harriers raced to a '17-'I duel meet record, losing only only to Class AA power Napoleon. The Redskins ran to the Sandusky Bay Conference championship: they were the Clay Invitational runners-up, and the Sectional run- ners-up on October 24 at Ottawa Hills Park in Toledo. The team was led by varsity runners Jake Perry, Dave Bradshaw, Tom Day, Bob Massie, Dave St. Clair, Mike year all the runners pulled together and all ran stron races to finish 7th in the Boy's Team State Cross Coun try Meet on November 7 on the Ohio State Universit campus in Columbus. The highlight of the girls seaso was when Jerri Collins and Lisa Campbell both qualifie for the district meet at Hill Crest Country Club in Find lay. Five of seven varsity runners were Seniors and ra their last Cross Country season this year, but Port Clin ton hoped to field another top team as seven varsit lettermen will return.
