“We saw NGreen Dolohin In October we had a theater narty. ' Streetu at the LeClaire in Moline. Cars were driven by Mr. Hofflund, Clarence Burlingame, and Lloyd Vickroy. In March we had a sleigh ride with the sleigh furnished by Virgil Wainwright who also drove. Afterwards we all net at the Port Byron Cafe for lunch. St, Patrick's Day was celebrated by an all-school party given by the Freshmen, Everyone was instructed to wear green and everyone did! There was no admittance without it. Committees were: Refrishrents--Gwen Evans, Narilyn Strandgard, Lorine Bunn, Lola Pannell, Catherine Skelton, Mary Noah, and Lois Pannell. Decorations--Carol Hermes, Luanne Frits, Lorraine Love, Beverly Dailey, Chuck Johnson, and Harland Shannon. Program--Joyce Wells, Jean Hillizms, Darlene Hanna, and Mary Saunders. The gym was decorated with green and white crepe oaner streamers and from the center hung a large Shamrock. Refrashrents were ice cream and green-frosted cake, Cur second theater party was in Aoril. Guests were invited. Cars were driven by Herb Noah, Rodney Uhitasides, Mr. Hofflund Marvin Wuehle, Lester Frels, and Walt Bull, We saw UYou Were Meant for Han at the LeClaire in Moline. In April a Weiner roast was held at the home of Carol Hermes. Riding bikes and olaying games were other diversions of the evening, In Aoril, also, Freshman and Soohomore members of the Home Ec classes orenared and served the Faculty-Board six-o'clock din- ner under the direction of Florence Pearsall, Home Ec instruct or. Guests were members of the Board of Education and their wives, Drincinal C,S, Hall and wife, Messrs. Hoff and Hofflund and wives, Mr. and Urs. Henry, Catharine Perring. The menu consisted of oineaoole juice with Ritz crackers, Swiss steak, mashed notatoes and gravy, buttered peas, vegetable salad, oicklcs, olives, jelly, fresh Strawberry ice cream, cake, and coffee. Unitresses were Nancy Skelton, Gwen Evans, Beverly Dailey, Lorinc Bunn, Hary Noah, Carol Hermes, and Lorraine Love, Kitchen workers were Harish Eiooer, chairman, with Lola Dannell, Catherine Skelton, Luanne Frits, Marilyn Finch, Anna Mae Lindshield, Mildred Railing, and Judy Barker, assisting. A short orogram entitled HPlanning Good Healsn was given by Joan Zvolnnek, Joyce Vuehle, Joyce Hells, and Mary Saunders. Several members of the Fr shman class had parts in the Oper- ctta in Aoril. Don Tyler was a detective. Lorine Bump, Gwen Evans, Mary Noah, Catherine Skelton, Marilyn Strendgard, Mary Saunders, Narilyn Finch, Beverly Dailey, Carol Hermes, Luanne Frits, Lola Pannell, Lois Pannell, and Lorraine Love were dancers. Charles Johnson, Dick Walgrave, Keith Cubboge, and Ronald Taylor were also dancers. Darlene Mumno and Charles Johnson took the oarts of children.
