“and selled coffee, pie, and cake. A Balloon Board was run by F, Backman and D. Griffen where the more you hit, the more you gitted. Hrs. Atkinson telled us our'n fortunes. Our Fran Gilbert setted in.the lower hall with buckets an' buckets of cash. Above hern chair wuz a sine a-sayin' HU-all kin git yourn' change here,N Fran took in an' gived out heaps and heaps, plenty nickels and dimes for all uv'em to spend. Larry and Wuehle were Niggers and gived a good show, with the circus. There was tight rope walker, Roland--with the purtiest pink dress and bow in his hair CCongratulations Moseh a strong man-Alan Anderson and an' Armless Wonder Muggs. Each nite we gived away a basketball what with names of the Bed Devil Basketball Team, On Fruday nite about 10:30 we KLarry, President! crowned Sue Lamb Carnival Queen. She had the nostest votes. We gitted enuff fer our scoreboard which we is giving to the school fer a farewell gift. We wish ta thank all them that made our'n Carnival a Big Success. May 10th the Junirs gived us's a prom at Black- hawk, We sure looked purty--all us girls wif for- mals an' shoes on an' the boys wif pants on. Some of 'em even wore jackets. Sure beatyfull, thanks Junirs, Kids Day--Ve dressed just like we useter when we 'uns was little kids. Mure fun! Hay 23 we tooked our'n exams--sigh--And weared our'n caps we looked intelligentll Rev, Wuehle were the prea- preachinl Had a hillbilly May 26, choosed and crowned an' gowns. CAt least Nay 25--Baccallaurate, cher in charge of the theme fer Class Nigh, our'n May King and May Queen. Hay 27--Fleet Day Lots of fun, Hmm, probably sun-burn. May 28, Commencement. Graduated-were we ever glad to git outten that joint! CI wish we could say that truthbully.5 So now we is dun--we liked every minut of it--and want to wish everybudy as much fun as we had.
