only boy on the Echo Staff, has rendered invaluable service to the editors in typing and stenciling. He is a dependable worker, faithful and earnest, is a loyal school citizen, and has maintained one of the highest schoolastic averages during the four years in high school. Patricia Walther entered Port Byron High School from Green- wood Grade School, Coe Township, in the fall of '43, When she was a Freshman she became an active member in the Glee Club and on the Echo Staff. In her Sophomore year she had an active part in the GAA and the Home Ec Club. During her Junior year she continued her membership in those two clubs and had a-part in the Junior Class play. In her Senior year she became a member of GAA, FHL, Senior class play, and served on both the Ink Spot and Echo Staffs. Pat, as she is affect- ionally called by faculty and students alike, has made herself very popular among the student body because of her cheerful dispositiony She is-a dependable worker, faithful, sincere, and earnest and is an examplification of the Motto, nwhatever you do, do unusually well.U The members of the Ink Spot and Echo Staffs found her cooperative and the success of the 1947 student publications are due in no small part to Pat's untir- ing efforts.

She.is a loyal supporter of her school and her teachers, she is coop- erative, dependable, shows initiative, resourcefulness, inde- pendence, is an unusually good student, and has maintained a high schoolastic average during all four years of high school Mildred Pearsall entered Port Byron High School in the fall of '43 from Port Byron Grade School, Lurlng her Freshman year she was a member of Glee Club and was on the Echo Staff. In her Sophomore year she belonged to GLA, Home Ec Club and in her Junior year she remained a member of these two clubs and also maintained membership in the Pep Club, of which she was treasurer. She was on the Ink Spot and Echo Staffs in her Junior year. She was also a cheerleader. In her Senior year she was class treasurer, treasurer of GLA, vice-presi- dent of Pep Club, and a member of FHA, continued as cheer- leader and was on both the Ink Spot and Echo Staffs. She was in both the Junior and Senior plays. Mildred has been a loya student and has taken active part in all school activities. She is very popular among students and faculty, is a very de- pendable worker and much of the success of the Ink Spot and Echo is due, in great part, to her efforts. Frances Peterson entered High School in the fall of '43 from Rapids City Grade School. Luring her Freshman year she was a member of the Glee Club, as a Sophomore she belonged to the Home Ec Club. In her Junior year she became a member of GLA, Home Ec Club, and worked on the Echo Staff. She was a promp- ter for the Junior Class play. In her Senior year she cont- inued her membership in the GLL, FHA, Pep Club, and served on both the Ink Spot and Echo Staffs. Frances is a loyal, un- tiring worker, a good student, and a dependable friend. The success of the 1947 student publication is due to the kind of effort, the kind of cooperation which Frances has shown. She has many friends who value her loyalty, honesty, and unself- ishness. Roger Vickroy entered Port Byron High School from Pleasant Bluff Grade School in the fall of '43. When he was a Fresh- men he was chosen by the class to represent them on the Stud- asketball team, continuing ET.
