Drafting the Plans 019 x?an Mrs Fred Sevier Mr Wilftel Waterman Mr Fred Rosecrans Mr Arthur Gates Mr Tlvsarl Burns Mr Thomas Corey The best workers need materials such as bricks cement and so forth to construct a building As the workers need materials also do students in order to advance in knowledge The Board of Education orders all the materials needed by the students such as books which are the foundation of all learning It hires the teachers who direct the construction of our futures The building of our futures depends on the efficiency of the Board of Education Mr Owen With a background of 10 years experience as high school principal f several years as board member and president Mr Owen has been Superintendent of the Schools of the 7nd Supervisory District of Cayuga County since 1951 In 1936 he assisted in merging 21 of his districts into the Port Byron Central District and planning the present building As superintendent he is responsible for licensing of teachers and lointly with the principal recommends teachers for appointment on probation and tenure He also counsels with the principal and board of education concerning many matters including appointment of bus drivers purchase and routing of school buses and plans for school buildings Mr Charles H Owen 10 S.
