Although we haye lost some of last years players Mr. XVests old reliables will be back to give our team the strength it will need to successfully win the games on its tough schedule. There are many new boys coming out for the team for their first time this year, and most likely some of them will get a spot on the team. In other years our teams have carried the true Panther spirit with them wherever they have played. This year, for the first time, the ninth and tenth graders tried for junior Varsity Cheerleaders and the eleventh and twelfth graders tried for Yarsity Cheerleaders. The selection was a difficult one because the competition was keen. However, a final decision was made. In October, the cheerleaders sent representatives to a dinner at the Usborne Hotel. There they met cheerleaders from other schools and discussed rules and regulations. Our representatives were Sharon l.illie and Josephine Yitale.
