■ The 1979 Pirate Annual is dedicated to two very special men that we feel contributed a great deal to our growth as individuals. Mr. Scott MacGregor is a former business teacher at Port Austin High School. He was also the basketball coach of the 1977 Pirate team. He led them to their first District Championship since 1967. Mr. MacGregor now lives in Midland and works for Farm Bureau Insurance. He earned his teaching degree from Central Michigan University, and we were very lucky to have him for the time we did. Mr. Gary Cass,was a principal at Port Austin Public School. He was only here one year, but during that time he helped us a great deal. For many of us, he became a dear friend treasured forever. Mr. Cass now lives in Lansing, and is a consultant for the Mich- igan State Board. Like Mr. MacGregor, Mr. Cass also graduated from Central Michigan University. Both of these men have been very special to us. They have shown concern and tried to help us in many ways. The memories of them will be in our hearts forever. Thank You very much for all of your time and concern. Mr. MacGregor and Mr. Cass you're two great people!!!
