In previous years, the Class of '72 had always taken first place. The Sophomores cleaned up second place with their super enzyme Eat 'em up. You Can't Stop the Pirate Machine, the Senior Class entry in the float contest, took third place. 46 The Sosnoski barn was the scene of much activity as the eighth graders created their De-feet 'em float. Although the Pirates failed to Stomp 'em (the Warriors), the seventh grade carried out their theme in anticipation of a big win. Long hours of preparation went into constructing the floats for the Homecoming festivities. But the hard work paid off. This year's Homecoming parade was by far the best Port Austin has ever had. Pirates are always big at P.A.---- win, lose or draw-----so proclaims the Freshman Class float entry. What happened on the Senior Trip ! ? ? We would like to take this opportunity to doc- ument some of his achievements in football. First of all, Dennis has been named to the All-League team for three straight years by a unanimous vote. Secondly, he has been placed on the All-Area team for the past two years as a junior and senior. And thirdly, Dennis has been chosen for the All-State First Team both last year and this year.
