Port Austin Public School Port Austin, Michigan ny i- is Editors Eileen Goretski Tony Fisher PIRATES Dedication We, the Senior Class of 1967, are proud to dedicate our annual to Mr. James McNally. The dedica- tion of this annual is an expres- sion of the Seniors' affection, re« spect, and thanks for a person j whom we feel has done the most for us as a class and as individ- I uals, during our high school days.l Mr. McNally came to P.A.H.S. in 1963 after graduating from Albion college. He took over the duties j as coach and taught Social Studies? During his first two years here he also took over the burden of spon- soring the Class of '67. This task was not easy and we will always be thankful to him for his patience and understanding. Even though he was not our sponsor during our Junior year, he con- tinued to offer his guidance and assistance whenever we needed it, which was often. When he moved, in 1966, we as well as the whole community, missed a good friend. So with great sincerity, grati- tude, and appreciation, we dedi- cate this Pirates annual to..... James W. Our first stop was at the battlesite of Stoney Creek. Tues. we went on to Watkins Glen. We also visited the .Corning Glass Works. Our night was spent in Williamsport, Pa. We were free until 11:30. Some of us spent the night with a college band. Next we toured Niagara Falls. Later that night we had our first party. 38 Fri., our last day there, we toured Mt. Vernon. We were on our own all after- noon. Some conquered the Wash. Monument and visited the Smithsonian Institute. We bid farewell to the Capi- tol, exhausted and dirty, at 8:30 p.m. Wed. we toured the Hershey Chocolate Co. and the battlefield at Gettysburg. We arrived at the Ambassador Hotel late that afternoon. In the evening we visited the Memorials. When we re- turned the parties began. We went sightseeing all day Thurs. We were given a few hours of free time to either enjoy the pool or try to recuper- ate before the boat cruise that night. Since this was our last night, most of us didn’t go to bed, after we returned at 12:00.
