IDA OSTERBERG JOHN EDWARDS Pep Promoter Traffic Court Judge 4.9 0614 750 S700 IIT B007 Throughout the 1959-1960 school year each member in our student body was repre- sented in our student council. This mock leg- islature has Worked to develop many line lead- ers and has been able to accomplish some very worthwhile activities. The council, now a member of the Na- tional Assembly of Student Councils, had the leadership of two able presidents. Larry Fish, who served for part of a semester, turned his duties over to Vice-president Jim Little in January. The council's perennially big event, Home- coming, was larger than ever in 1959. Gen- eral chairman Sherrilyn Hunt had much to do with reviving the old traditions of the serpentine and victory fire. The added stu- dent spirit sent our team to a surprising vie- tory over Kelso. The qualities of leadership were encour- aged in all the councills activities. Four dele- gates- Kathy Driscoll, Kay VVillson, Bill Robb, Larry Fish-represented our school at a leadership training conference in Seattle November 13th and 14th. Through such activities as our facultyls evaluation of the council and representatives, the ASB was able to lend a helping hand in the training of many of tomorrow's leaders.
