I I As the Senior Class president, llarry Eyman, lowered the colors at the move up assembly, the Seniors. with the four years of activities at R.H.S. flashing' before them. filed out of their section. The first year saw them as bewildered but willing' l rosh swiiigringx into the activities of senior high life. At the close of that year they presented the animal May dance, Tulip Time. At the undertaking' of the annual Mardi Hras in their Sophomore year they gained more confidence. Other suceesses of the year in- cluded their assembly. Turkey Tales. and the first Sophomore night that had been held. Their Junior year saw them as the insti- grators of the Junior Carnival, the most sue- eessful and profitable affair the school had 606044 seen. Their production of the hilarious comedy Cannibal Queen was greeted with enthu- siastic applause which assured the elass it was a hit! Cliniaxing their 'third year they pre- sented their Junior Prom Carousel at which the couples danced in an atmosphere of spring: in a park. Laurels for the year rested on the shoulders of Jim Glann for his capable lead- ership throughout the year. The main attraction of the Senior class this year was the Senior Ball Neptune's Fanta.sy,'7 where the gym was transformed beyond recog- nition in an under the sea themeg just as sue- cessful was their comedy 'iJanuary Thaw. HIGH CHEERLEADERS O' Duane Stanard, Sharon McGee, Willis Woolett, Georgia Tinkham. Van the senior high plan on a winning football team in two or three years if the junior high has a good team? If so, look for a whopper from Angeles when the class of '53 comes along. After losing to lfoontz Junior High of Brem- erton 25 to 0 in the season's opener, the Teddies rushed through Sm-quirn and Townsend twice, and topped that oil' with a 1-rushing defeat of South Kitsap. Uaptain Arlen Mellonald moved the ball for large gains tinn- and again on the end- JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL SQUAD: around play, while fullbaek Frank Beutlcr sparked the bam-kfield play. Outstanding on the line were center Scotty Nic-hols and the team 's big boy, Julian Crusher', McCabe. When the season was c-onipleted and Coach Ilan Gagnon and the boys looked over the records, they were anxious to meet Bremerton again, to settle with the team that ruined an undefeated season. This was impossible, how- ever, and the Tefls' final 'tabulation stood at five wins, one loss. TOP RO 9- 4 cobs, Clark Stratford. Voted the most likely to succeed by the members of his class, Raggmopp sported the very latest in leopard-skin coats and considered it quite proper to tow his best gal to the Jungle Prom by a firm grip on the scruff of her neck. Raggmopp up there has just finished hacking out the senior panels on HIS yearbook, and he's quite proud of his work- manship. He had his troubles, all right, but there's one thing you can say for his work: it was PERMANENT! There is still a little of the caveman in all of us, but caveman methods do not apply to our school yearbooks. Unlike Raggmopp, the annual editor of today doesn't want a hacked-out yearbook, and he doesn't need a chisel and a slab of granite on which to do his work. The modern yearbook staff doesn't have to put up with crude reproduc- tion either! The yearbook of today is made permanent through the proper use of good photography, good print- ing, and the best in photoengraving! Modern schools, because they've learned that the finest engravings cost no more, order their printing plates from Western, and thus assure themselves of the finest in workmanship. In addition, they can take advantage of the only complete yearbook service in the Pacific Northwest! If you'd like to get away from the iust another annual classification, and publish a truly fine yearbook, get in touch with Western. We have produced more prize- winning annuals than all the other photoengravers in the Pacific Northwest combined!
