ezmaiclfd wofzk Aicle by Ai e Full speed ahead'l is the true version of the motto for the '46-'47 Girls' Club or- ganization. This year's platform was built on service - service to students, school, and faculty. The selling of refreshments at all athletic events and the operating of a concession counter in the school hall were among their many un dertakings Volunteers on hall duty checked the uproar and loitering 1n the halls Also, there were girls who gave up their precious time to take care of the girls who became ill during the school a Vocational talks were given to inform the girls on various occupations The grand social event of the year was the faculty tea held in the Elk s ballroom The Tolo Dance and the Mother s Tea proved out standing on the calendar of events Cl 11 llil I IILI lf 1501 IOM 1181 F - i' I 7 - 'l'0l' l'l 'UllIf1: Juni' lhniiczlsnrl, su4'1'r-Lm'y- truzxsurori llurnfllfl Sufrrvrl, pre-sidenl: Gloria Str url, vice-uresidvnt: Miss Mrrla' f'ou'ling1, advisor. Exploring a way to earn some quick cash, we raffled a radio. The proceeds went to help finance a two-day trip that our club took to Seattle where we visit ed the University s dramatic depart ment To give us a chance to further our study of stage settings, make up RWI RKW I 1 IiUI IOM ROW and acting We saw the stage play Our Hearts Were Young and Gay A timely theme, that of clocks was carried out in our dramatic club dance named the Tick Tock Tolo This New Year s Eve event was the school s first costume ball and it struck its mark with I 2 masks balloons and noise makers Under the direction of Mr Hart Smith our adviser our assembly which included a minstrel show and a one act play was skillfully presented and was acknowledged as one of the best of the year - , , - . . . , . , - I - I If I ' AI c W' , 'I'0I' O 1 inn Iflfo ., I 'Il IV' 'I.', I ll H' .' -l', I , ' H I.
