MAY FESTIVAL Patty Kelly portrays a springtime mood In her ensemble. 29 “Sitting Pretty at the 1963 May Festival. Originally, the purpose of the May Festival was to honor the May Queen. The Port High HomeKconomicsdepartment has supplemented this occasion with a fashion show. This fashion show gives the girls an opportunity to display their sewing abilities to the community. To stimulate competition in this field, the Home Economic's department chooses only those garments that meet the highest standards to be modeled before the May Queen and her court. Betty anticipates keen competition this year.

Penny's gentle beauty and winning ways made her the ideal candidate. She will long be remembered by her classmates as a graceful, winsome queen. . STUDENT COUNCIL Left to right: Cyril Bowser, Vice-President; James Brundage, President; Carlene Fessenden, Secretary-Treasurer. The Student Council is an elected student government representing the student body. Under the direction of the advisor Mr. Taylor, this year's Student Council sponsored the first Port Allegany Homecoming. The other projects include the sponsoring of the Annual Clothing Drive for the needy and raising funds for the Student Council Work Shop. Through this workshop, the members of the Student Council learn new and improved methods of representing the student body. Senior power in Student Council.
