HOMECOMING The 'crowning Jewel' of Homecoming. The majorettes set the pace for the Homecoming. As Seniors, we are especially aware of the importance of tradition. Therefore, we are proud to give Port High and our community an opportunity to establish the tradition— of the Homecoming. A Homecoming is planned to honor the alumnus, and to provide them with the chance to revisit places, remember events, and renew acquaintances. The first event was a parade that included the Port and Coudersport bands, six floats, and our Homecoming Queen and her court. After the parade, the crowd gathered at the football field to witness a victory for the Gators and the crowning of Port's first Homecoming Queen, Penny Linnan. Miss Linnan reigned over a Homecoming Dance that concluded the day's events.
