Poquoson Homecoming 1978 The Sophomore float parading down Poquoson Avenue. Homecoming Court. Homecoming week has always been an exciting time at Poquoson High. A week when the four classes battle out the fight of the floats and the win- ner of the votes! This year the float theme was ‘The Movies” and the win- ner was the Junior class with their float ‘Murder on the Islander Express’. The other side of the maddening competition was the electing of the Homecoming court. This years Home- coming queen was Rene Nita Gori es- corted by Brian Ferguson. Her court was made up of other senior representa- tives Tricia Sullivan and Chris O’Neil and Donna Jurosky and Stan Jones. Ju- nior Class representatives were Kim Gardner and D.G. Mitchell. DeDe Spivey and Charlie Fulnecky served for the Sophomore class.
