It is an indication of the vitality of the youth, the community and the school. May those who labored on it be rewarded by a continuation of the same vision and faith in their activities after leaving high school. Bewildered by this great change we became acquainted with our schedules. Our very first class elections put Bill Shields into office as President, Joy Rasnick as Vice President, Krista McBride as Secretary, and Bobby Watkins as Treasurer. Before we know what had happened, we had advanced from Rats to Freshmen. That year our class officers were: President, Tommy Quinn; Vice President, Bill Shields; Secretary, Sandra Firth; and Treasurer, Jeannie White. As Sophomores, we were eligible to participate in more school activities. How- ever, we also had to spend more time on our studies. That year, Bill Shields was again elected to lead us as President. Helping him were Ginger Graef as Vice Presi- dent, Nancy Forrest as Secretary, and Sandra Firth as Treasurer. Entering P. H.S. in September 1963, we could say with pride that we were now Juniors! Our two main activities as Juniors included ordering our class rings, and planning our prom. No one will ever be able to forget all the work that went into our prom Evening Ecstasy, '' but its great success made it all worthwhile. We elected as our class officers: Tommy Quinn, President; Bill Shields, Vice President; Jeannie White, Secretary; and Joy Rasnick, Treasurer. When we entered P.H.S. as Seniors there were the mixed emotions of excitement and sorrow. We began our activities of our last year by electing our class officers: Bill Shields, President; Mark Forrest, Vice President; Deloras Weaver, Secretary; Tommy Quinn, Treasurer. We had many things to keep us busy: Ordering calling cards and invitations, caps and gowns, and class pins. We sponsored P.H. S.'s first TWIRP DAY. Our Senior class play, Cheaper By the Dozen'' was a great success, thanks to Mr. Deufel. SAT tests caused much frustration, and being accepted by the college was a constant worry, but everything worked out for the best. It seems hard to believe that our Graduation is here already. Nevertheless, as our high school career comes to an end, we hope that for all it won't be an end, but a beginning. 16 VALEDIC TORIAN SALUTATORIAN STEVE FORREST DIANE ACREE MARY MARSHALL LOUISE INSLEY SUSIE CROSS TOMMY QUINN BILL SHIELDS NANCY FORREST MARK FORREST LINDA REXRODE SANDY WILSON JEANNIE WHITE SANDRA FIRTH Seniors SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS President -- Bill Shields Vice-President -- Mark Forrest Treasurer -- Tommy Quinn Secretary -- Deloras Weaver Anything worth having : Motto: is worth waiting for. The parade consisted of the Homecoming Court, four floats, the cheerleaders, the fire truck, and the band. That night the Islanders defeated the Chuckatuck Indians, 17-0. Adding to the excitement of the game, quarterback Bobby Watkins kicked a 37 yard field goal. 60 Krista McBride glows with excite- ment as she is crowned 1964 Homecoming Queen by Principal Roy B. The Gilbreth's thought rais- ing twelve children would be an easy task, but they soon discovered many problems.
