hw , gstv l Readmg from left to right are the offlcers of the class of 53 s Jumor Class Presldem Diggs Freeman Trea Secretary Joe Johnson Jumorsll Yes September 51 found us Juniors the next best thing to being a Semor This year we started right out in the thick of our school affairs Diggs Freeman was again elected to be our President Plans for the Annual Junior Semor Prom were started early Mr Saunders came down ln October and we all ran around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to fund out which stone and what size rung we should order The poor Seniors took their rings off for our inspection many times that day Happier still was the day we received them Each Junior went around with his hand stuck out for the sake of admiring looks and remarks occasionally draw mg it in for a shine with handkerchief or tlssue A few days later and we donned our evening apparel for the Prom into which much work had gone for the preparation It paid off well We struggled through exams and received those beautiful report cards proclaiming us as Seniors lfU'll0l Readlng from left to nght are the officers of the present Junior class Presldent Srdney Pauls Trea surer Denms Shields Vice president and S C A Representative Fred Lee Secretary Hattie Evans and S C A Representative Peggy Frrman The Junior class of Poquoson High School met early in the fall and chose their class officers Those chosenwere' President Sidney Pauls, Vice President Fred Lee, Secretary Hattie Evans, Treasurer Dennis Shields, andS C A. Represen tatives Peggy Furmanand Fred Lee Theydecided on dues of three dollars a year and chose a car nation for their flower As amotto, for the year, they selected Live and Learn.
