LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT Since we, the Senior Class of 1946, find it necessary to part from our dear old Alma Mater, we have drawn up this, our last will and testament, hereby re- voking all former wills made by us at any time. To Mr. Thomas, our principal, we leave our deepest appreciation for the patience and guidance he has shown us. To Miss Bradshaw, our sponsor, we leave our sincere thanks for her interest and cooperation in making this edition of the York Chronicle possible. To Mrs. Bradley, our home-room teach- er, we leave our appreciation for her help in our undertakings. To the other members of the faculty, we leave our gratitude for their interest in our endeavors. Cecil C. Moore bequeaths his position as president of the Senior Class to any- one the class of ' 47 elects. Cornell Burcher leaves his musical tal- ent to be equally divided among Harriet Page, James and Joseph Bradshaw. FIRST ROW: Prof. Frazier (Hunter Riggins), Co-Director (Miss Bradshaw), Catherine (Mildred Lee Evans), Harriet (Lena Lee Riggins), Droopy (Cornell Burcher), Louise (Ida Rose Topping), Jimmy (Edison Gillikin). SECOND ROW: Florence (Carrie White Moore), Doris (Ruth Smith), Miss Watkins (Esther Marie White), Co-Director (Miss Forrest). MISS JIMMY Since everyone enjoys a lively farce, full of amusing situations and clever wise cracks, the Senior Class selected Miss Jimmy which deals with the laugh-provoking adventure of Jimmy, college youth, who enters the dormitory of an exclusive girls school in search of a dress as required by a fraternity initiation. Louise (Ida Rose Topping) is a pleasant, and sincere Sophomore at Briar Mountain College. It is spring and her thoughts turn to romance. Florence (Carrie White Moore) her roommate, is not so romantically inclined and tries to appear hard-boiled by making wise cracks. Catherine (Mildred Lee Evans) who lives down the hallway, is a blond of the type that men are said to pre- fer and definitely prefers men. Doris (Ruth Smith) who rooms with her, is the Freshman drudge. Ffarriet (Lena Lee Riggins) the campus snob with an inferiority complex, is a dark-haired siren. In contrast with college girls is the part of Miss Watkins (Esther Marie White) an old spinster, who heads the school Jimmy (Edison Cillikin) is the typical college boy, a little serious but still gay and subject to romance in the spring. Droopy (Cornell Burcher) the colored janitor, is exactly that! Professor Frazier (Hunter Riggins, Jr.) went to Oxford and came back with a taste for tea and an English accent. THIRTY
