GIRLS ' BASKETBALL The prospects for the girls ' team were very favorable this season with four first stringers remaining and a number of lettermen. Although the team was constantly beset by injuries the squad won 9 of the 14 games played. Especially outstanding was the defensive work at the guard post. Carmines and Bunting captained this small, fast, fiery team and were largely responsible for their victories.
