Activities: These six girls are top headlines with Poplar Bluff High School students for presenting all the latest news in our “Bluffer,” SPORTS: Gordon Gipson and Jeremy Davis tell their expectations of the upcoming Homecoming game hoping to draw a winning crowd. Contents CLASSES: A senior class tradition is getting to- gether the night before an assembly to make signs. She was chosen as Elk student of the month of January. She has won numerous awards in both drama and speech including District qualifica- tion for both. She plans on attending Freed- Hardeman College and majoring in Special Education of the Hearing Impaired. Ben Phyfer is secretary-treasurer of Key Club and a member of Beta, NHS, SAIB, and Student Council. He has participated in FCA, Math, Chemistry, and Athletic clubs. He was on Sophomore Valentine Court and was chosen as an Elk student of the month. He participated in basketball and lettered four years in tennis and twice in football. His plans are to major in business or law. Lee Allison has been active in Spanish, Key Math, Chemistry, Literary, and Beta clubs. He has par- ticipated in basketball, golf, and track and lettered in both tennis and football. During his senior year he was Treasurer of National Honor Society, Key Club Pres- ident, and Student Council President. 30 Graduates Kelli Daniels is Athletic club president, Student Council Vice President, Math club treasurer, Beta Club secretary, Co-Editor of the BLUFF annual, and President of her freshman and sophomore classes. She) is a member of NHS, Quill Scroll, Chemistry, anc Literary clubs. She is a three year letterman in botl Cross-Country and track. Her future plans are t( attend Ole’ Miss and major in pharmacy. Chuck Funke is a member of FCA, Chemistry, Ath- letic and Key Clubs and secretary of National Honor Society. He is a three year letterman in both football and track. During his senior year he was co-captain of the football team and received the J. Lester Harwell Sportsmanship Award. His plans are to attend Brigham Young University and major in aviation. Eobbi Opperman has been a member of Beta, NHS, Quill Scroll, Student Council, YIELD, and Literary Club. She is president of SADD PAL, sec. of her senior class, and church youth group president. She was a freshman cheerleader and member of SHO-ME guard. She has won awards on state level in speech, drama, and art. Her senior year she was on Bluff Court, Bluffer Staff, and activities editor of Bluff. She plans on majoring in business and theater and minor in art. 31 Wendy Reiley is the dram major of SHO-ME, president of Chorialiers, secretary of Sadd, Sec- retary of YIELD, and president of MYF. She is a member of NHS, Beta, Concert Choir, and Pal, She was named Elks Student of the month during her senior year. Her plans are to attend the University of Evansville and major in music and education. Todd Telle is president of National Honor Society, Beta, Chemistry, and Math clubs. He was vice president of his freshman class and Lutheran youth group. He is a member of Lit- erary and French clubs and participated in JETS. He is a four year letterman in Tennis and participated in cross cross and basketball his freshman year. Ilf ■ Camille Hunt is Beta Club president, Co-Editor of BLUFF, and president of her junior and senior classes. She is a member of NHS, NIKE, and Key clubs, student council, Quill Scroll, and was on Sophomore Valentine Court. Her senior year, she was on both Football Homecoming Court and BLUFF Court. She lettered twice in tennis and was scorekeeper for the wrestling team for three years. She plans on attending Ole’ Miss and majoring in pharmacy. 32 Adam Boster has been a member of NHS, YIELD, French, Literary, and Beta clubs. He has been President of SADD PAL, Treasurer of Drama club, and he went to Boys’ State. Being active in the PB speech team, he has earned numerous awards in acting at district and state and participated in many PB plays. He has been a member of Jazz and Honor bands and was Vice President of SHO-ME Band his senior year. He participated in Concert Choir and made All-District all four years, All- State two years, and received excellent ratings. He plans on going into the music and drama fields. Jeff Githens has been a member of FCA, Beta, Spanish, Math, Chemistry, and Athletic clubs. He is Sergeant at Arms of National Honor Society and Vice-President of Key club. He is a three year letterman in both football and track and was cho- sen for all-conference and all-district in football. His senior year, he was an Elk Student of the Month and Co-Captain in the football team. Susie Kennedy has been Drum Major of SHO- ME for three years, Historian of SHO-ME, Pres- ident of YIELD, Secretary of PAL, Secretary of Choraliers, and a member of SADD, Speech Team, Beta, Literary, and Drama Clubs. As a Sophomore, she was an ambassador to the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation. She made All- District Band for three years, All State Band her senior year, and received numerous Band and Drama awards.
