In your short lifetime to-date you have al- ready seen man accomplish the once con- sidered impossible” feat of leaving the earth to travel in space. Also, you are aware that man has developed the necessary, destructive power to destroy the very earth upon which we live. What the future will bring is uncertain, how- ever, it is certain that you will share the re- sponsibility of helping to determine the future. May you strive to develop a philosophy of life with the Golden Rule” as a cornerstone. The present opportunities for leading a good life are better than they have ever been. Use your initiative and God given talents to help improve your community, state, nation and the world in which we live. Your high school experiences are necessary building stones in your foundation of life. May you take full advantage of the opportuni- ties offered so you will do your part in a life of service toward mankind. Principal 6 The community of Poplar Bluff has proven its sincerity in providing the best available staff and ed- ucational facilities for the youth. Educational facilities and staffs are not enough. A third ingredient is necessary to insure the objectives of a total school; and that component is a dedicated student body. I challenge the student of this school to do his best in utilizing the opportunities provided not only in 1966 but all years to come. Assistant Principal
