IVAN EFFIE TAYLOR ICO-captain, Tackle '43, '-141 One of the best linemen to grace the gridiron for the Mules. Effie was a consistent fighter. HOWARD FOOZY FRANCIS fGuard '42, '43, '44J One of the best guards in the conference this year. He will be hard to replace. ALLEN POOCH SIELERT fEnd '43, 44D He played. swell ball all year in both backfield and line. Losing Poocl1 will be a tough blow to the Mules. BOB MUSCLES DODWELL fTackle '43, '44, His intestinal fortitude made him man to stop. We lose a good man in tion this year. LEO IRISH SARACINI fGuard '43, '44D The old Hfightin' Irish was a hard stop. He came out of the line in the game to score. MORRIS CRUSHER STOKES QFullback '43, '44j a hard gradua- man 1 m Kennett Morris had that kind of spirit that urges a team on. He played a good brand of ball all SCHSOH. ELDON BRAIN STORM PALMER fFullback '43, '44J His first full season of football with the Mules. He was one of the most graceful runners and blockers to play in a Mule backfield. JODA LARDY BESS fGuard '43, '44J He stood like a brick wall and. drove like a locomotive. We are expecting Lardy to team 'em up next year. BOB YI SECHREST fEnd '43, '44j Bob's second season as a regular end. His kicking pulled the Mules out .of many holes. He will make his last appearance next season. CHARLES CHUCK ATKINS lHalfback '44J One of the smashingest backs in S. E, Mo. He racked up nine touchdowns this season and should be a real ground gainer next year. REX GARMAN fHalfback '44j Our Freshman halfback put on a fine exhibi- tion for his first year. His streaks netted him six T.D.'s this season. EUGENE GENE HIGHLEY fCenter '44J Gene's first football letter. His weight will be missed in the center of the line next year. J. O. JOE WEST CTackle '44J Our number one utility man. His 190 pounds of fight will be missed next year. F. J. SCHWEITZER lHalfback '44J His first year in athletics here. He was always good for a few yards when called upon. EUGENE GENE MOORE CQuaFterback '44j His first year of football he filled Capt. Whit- aker's shoes when needed. He would have maflo a real back next year. G. R. BLANKS fEnd '44J Number one utility end, was always ready to balance up either wing. He was a bang-up player. BOB LITTLE BOB THACKER fHalfback '44, Size made no difference to Bob. He really put his heart in the games. His only handicap was that he was a SENIOR.

KENNETT Q33-05 Totally blanking the Kerunetteers, the Mules subs played the second half. Saracini was outstanding' on the line. Palmer's blocking accounted for many Mules scores. DEXTER 135-65 Capt. Whitaker did the unbelievable for the first time in the history of the school as he galloped 110 yards for a touchdown. Bess was shinilng as the lineman.
