Carl Sandburg IN MEMORIAM SISTER COR MARIE ANDREWS, C.S.J. On January 13, 1986, the Pope John Communi- ty was saddened by sudden death of our Vice Principal, Sister Cor Marie Andrews, C.S.J. In addition to serving Pope John for fourteen years, Sister Cor Marie worked as a teacher and administrator in the Archdiocese of Boston for over fifty years. Sister Cor Marie loved life and enjoyed people. Here at Pope John, she actively participated in Mothers' Club and Fathers' Club meetings. She was Co-chairperson of the Foreign Language Department, a member of the Principal's Finan- cial Advisory Board, and a member of the Aca- demic Council. As an avid sports fan, she at- tened football, basketball, and hockey games, and we shall remember her getting just as excit- ed as any one of us. Sister Cor Marie's persistence in commanding law and order was evidence of her deep con- cern for us as young people, and we know that we indeed lost a true friend.
