A game lost by one one or two runs to one of the league's top teams but played with heart and soul is much more rewarding than defeating an inferior team with ease. That's how Pope John's team felt and for their record of 6-14 they tried hard but their determination just wasn't enough to win them a successful season. Functions in Disaster, Finish with Style A short year ago, fourteen people gath- ered in a small office overlooking the gym. These people were full of different ideas and had various hid- den talents. Meeting every Thursday after- noon, trying to agree on what our yearbook would consist of wasn't the easiest task. At times things got pretty hectic, but there was one special lady-who was always there to help and support everyone. Mrs. Nancy Whalen is this special lady. She was full of now and different ideas which helped in the yearbook's success. When times got rough, especially when deadlines had to be met, she was there putting things together. There are so many words to say about this wonderful lady who devoted herself to the suc- cess of our yearbook. The most important word is Thank-You. Thank-you Mrs. Whalen for sharing yourself with fourteen people, thank-you for giving your time and persever- ance into making our yearbook. Wo functioned in disaster but finished in style- Your Style. You are a wonderful friend. Thank-you again for all your help and generosity. 1 cm mi vwwww XXI ll Hi h School Everett
