Hall of Fame Perseverance against all odds, intelligence far above the average, leadership ability in any group, a sterling character that shines forth under all circumstances, and a personality that makes him loved by all would make Gene Owen a candidate for any high school's Hall of Fame. It is with pride that our school claims this fine young man as a member of its Hall of Fame, In scholarship he ranks number two in a class of seventy-six, His leadership ability has been evident as he served as vice-president and president of the Student body. Gene was chosen to represent his school at State Student Council Meetings, Beta Convention, and at American Legion Boys' State, Demonstrating his versatility Gene was selected as a representative on the All Little Ten Football Team and placed in the district and state track meets. Gene's outstanding characteristic is his ability to associate with persons of all ages and make them glad to have him as a friend. His genuine friendship ignites in each person he meets the desire to know him better, As Gene demonstrates in life the good qualities he has developed in school we will be happy that he was a member of our student body and our Hall of Fame,
