It was a perfect night for football with a spirited crowd waiting ratner impatiently for action. All the glamour and grandeur of a royal coronation were evident as the 1959-60 Homecoming Court was presented to the expectant fans and boosters of PHS. Under the able direction of the chairman, Mrs. Francis Furr, and her committee, the coronation was filled with color and pageantry. The welcome was given by Jim Sneed, president of the student body, with Clell Miller Class of '50, responding. Queen Phyllis Crane and her happy Court composed of Joan Tutor, Jayne McCoy, Linda Ball, Jeannie Hardin, Jennie Laura Witt, Shirley Mask, Carole Butler, Dianne Dallas, Scottie Stringer, and Jon David Naugher rewarded the efforts of those in charge. As if in answer to a royal command, the WARRIORS downed the New Albany Bulldogs by a large score. The victory added another thrill to the night of the reign of the royal Court. The day 's festivities were brought to a close with the dance at the Community House. While banners, tom-toms, teepees and fall flowers dominated the scene and an air of ex- citement prevailed, the Court and the loyal subjects with many visitors enjoyed the annual Homecoming dance sponsored by Mrs. Robert Lyon and the FHA girls. whirling skirts, flashing smiles and cheery greetings added to the glamour of the most wonderful night, ever
