I have found that the responsibil- ities that are given each class for annual activities: Planning Homecoming Week . . . Homecoming Week All School Elections . . . The Homecoming Parade and Dance, are usually planned, experienced, and successful. These tasks are not as easy as they sound. The time and effort expended, many times go unappreciated because everything usually works out. The rewards come in the form of the positive attitude and the excitement exhibited by the student body during this time. After these exciting events took place, the leadership and planning had to continue, and time was 'growing short.' N ow we had to plan for our Senior Announcements, Senior Trip, and our Senior pictures. QQuick now how many times did you listen or read the announcements concerning the MANY DEADLIN ES that had to be met.J Remember how patient, and under- standing I was when you gathered enough courage to walk into the 12th grade office and ask about deadlines that had passed weeks ago. Such is the life of a Senior Class Principal. Sympathy should also be considered for Mrs. Laster, 12th Grade Secretary As we planned these activities for our last year, we could have never completed the above tasks without the committees that were willing and able to finalize what had to be done. We should never forget the input, guidance and counseling of Mrs. Phillips, Class of '86 Sponsor. As our last year comes to a happy close, I am suddenly aware that each class, though similar in many ways, has its own identity and uniqueness. When you were Freshman, you chose the motto, Spirit and Spunk, A Perfect Mix, We're the Class of '86. The determination and fortitude exhibited this year with some changes and cancellations would have discouraged a lesser class of young people. You did carry on . . . you let your voices be heard . . . you went on record. I commend you. The ingredients of Spirit and Spunk were in fact, A Perfect Mix. You surely and without question are very unique. There is only one Class of '86!
