As our school year draws to a close, we are once again reminded of the important role Pontiac Central Senior High School plays in the lives of its students and in the life of our community. We see pictured here, in the 1985 QUIVER, those graduating seniors who have been part of our family at Central over these past four years. Each one of you, seniors, will soon be taking on a new role with new responsibilities. How well you, as graduates, function in your own lives and as contributing members of this community can be directly correlated to how well we educated you to think creatively and critically, to make value judgements, and to solve problems. During your years at Pontiac Central Senior High School we have offered you a multidimensional education by carefully planning your curricular and extra- curricular activities--in the classroom, in clubs and community organizations, and in athletic competitions. We can, however, only plan and implement these curricular and extra-curricular activities, it is you, the student, who shapes them by your enthusiasm to seek excellence. The vitality of this school is replenished each time a student learns a little more about himself and the world in which he lives. That vitality expands each time a student reaches higher and realizes some of his great potential. The faculty and administration of Pontiac Central Senior High School have tried over these past four years to challenge you, to encourage you, to enliven your enthusiasm, and to sharpen your intellectual curiosity. Now, as seniors who will soon be graduates, it is your new adult responsibility to challenge yourselves and enthusiastically set personal goals of excellence. Each graduating class, in its uniqueness, has made an impact on this institution. As Principal of Pontiac Central Senior High School, it is my fondest hope that our impact on you will guide you to enthusiastically seek excellence in whatever you do.
