It focuses on the learner in such a way as to insure that his educational and personal development will reach its maximum. This guidance concept is not new and is inherent in all education. Education that is focused on the learner is guidance at its best. Thus will learners be aided to become responsible, self-adjusted and productive individuals. We at Pontiac Central believe that guidance is for every student in the school, and is concerned with each student's total development as well as each student's individual needs. Active support of administration, staff and community is vital to the success of the guidance program. Guidance is a function of all who educate.
