Chiefs - Initiate New Coach to overcome the lack of depth and experience. However, next year the Chiefs will have experience in every posi- tion except center. With Jim Green, Dale Humphrey, and Bruce Wood- more returning, the Chiefs should have a backfield with a punch. Highlighting Central's 2-7 record were winning efforts against Arthur Hill and Flint Northwestern. Arthur Hill lost to the Chiefs, 34 to 18. Dale Humphrey's 95 yard run had the crowd roaring. Without regular practice sessions, the team showed real spirit and togetherness, downing Flint Northwestern, 28 to 6. ln the Flint Central game, the team top-rated lndians to a four point lead until the fourth quarter. Leonard Smith, Glenn Behler, and Gerald Collier played a good defen- sive game. Varsity and J.V. Cheerleaders helped keep the spirit alive by put- ting up signs, posters, and giving the student body spirited pep assemblies despite the problems at the beginning of the season.
