,..-- t I 1 f 1 ' 1 I X l Margaret Lowry, Attendance Office secretary, and Jackie Reene, Mr. McMillen's secretary, are excellent examples of the cooperation which exists in Central's administration. In terms of communication the principal is especially vital. He or- ganizes all school communications, he acts as the liaison officer be- tween the school and central ad- ministration, he helps seniors gain freshman standing in the college of their choice by making recommen- dations for them, and he supervises and links the efforts of his assistants. This year Francis Staley has four assistants. Smith Carson, in charge of discipline, is new this year. Wesley Maas, is now responsible for the evaluation of new teachers and the use of the IBM machines. Remaining in their previous posi- tions are Donald McMillan, in charge of student affairs, enroll- ment, and research, and Harold Smead in charge of attendance, child accounting, and home and school relations. Wesley Maas, Assistant Principal in charge of instruction, directs the dis- tribution of student report cards through the use of lBM machines. 9 V,-.vv '- I ,.:.
