For 40 Patter- son Street is the home of Pontiac's Board of Education, and it is, here that decisions are made which influence the lives of all of this city's public school students including 2,600 high school chiefs. Here, Dr. Whitmer is serving his third year as superin- tendent, ably assisted by Mr. Cox and Dr. Hufziger. Through the labors of these men and the members of the Board of Education, of which Mr. Schimmel is president, P.H.S. students enioy all the benefits of an enriched and varied education which includes courses in college, vocational, commercial, and general pro- grams.
