Carolyn Lorenz and Barbara Hess arrange music for a workshop program. 123 P,J4, S, Qoed Camping We study forest protection wit?i actual use of fire¬ fighting equipment. The following pictures represent the fun and nature study which P.H.S. students have enjoyed at Sleeper State Pork for the past three years. Some of these students have now graduated but will long remember their camping trip. Could there be a better place for a nature class than out-of- doors? ' ■- We learn about the wonders of nature —a natural tree graft. While hiking we meet a beekeeper and he shows us the bee hive. Lunch time on a truck trip around Thumb Area finds us having a cook-out at Grindstone City. 124 We helped to build this bridge across a swamp. One of our work (and fun) projects is helping to keep our state equipment in good condition. During evaluation period every one has a say about that day ' s work and to¬ morrow ' s program. The counselors take part loo in the evening entertainment. One of our greatest experiences is the council fire with Chief Vic. 125 We thank the members of the office staffs, Mr. Tyrell, Mr. Carlson, Mr. Petersen, Dave Tarr of THE TOMAHAWK, and particularly THE PONTIAC DAILY PRESS for your help in preparing the 1953 QUIVER. 4 QUIVER EDITORS SUE HENDERSON.Editor-in-chief SANDRA HODGE.Faculty RUTH McCULLOCH.Underclassmen DOLORES RYGIEL.Vocations PAULENE SPEHAR.Girls Sports CAROL WORTMAN.Boys Sports BARBARA McSKULIN, ELAINE McMANUS.Seniors DESSALEE TEMPLE.Organizations 955 ' 3 i yk fy i, ' } ' •. ■■ ' ' :v’ ' ' r- ??
