Vocational Education The Vocational Education Building plays a very impcrtant part in the school careers of approximately 400 students each semester. This building contains classrooms, shops, and ofiices. The equipment used in the shop courses is of the best so that the student has every opportunity to obtain his training under the most favorable conditions. Another feature of the vocational courses is the related in- struction which the student receives. Each teacher is efficiently trained in his particular field so that the student, on completion cf his course, has acquired not only practical shop experience but also a knowledge of the subjects related to his field of training. Included in the Vocational Education Building is the vocational office which issues all working permits for children under 18 resid- ing in the school district of Pontiac. It also serves as a counseling center for vocational students and schedules vocational courses.
