CLASS OFFICERS President Betty Lake Vice-President Mac Sweazy Secretary Helen Holm Treasurer Marjorie Jennings Marjorie Jennings, Betty Lake, Mac Sweazy, Helen Holm. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The Pontiac chapter of the National Honor Society was formed in May, 1924, and consisted of twenty-five members. Since then, membership has steadily grown. This organization was formed primarily to stimulate a desire among students to excel in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. In addition to these important qualities, the student must be a senior and in the upper one-third of his class. Selection of members is governed entirely by the faculty. Any student can be proud to be a member of the National Honor Society, for it is the high- est honor any member of the class can obtain. It signifies not only that the student is a good scholar, but also that he has shown high moral character and a sincere interest in school activities. Row ?: Mary Milligan, Barbara Ansbaugh, Claire Burke, Helen Holm, Irene Morgan, Betty Lake, Marilyn Sandstrom, Reta Groner. Row 2.- Doris Morton, Eleanor Lechner, Helen Burris, Larry Pentiuk, Vera Parsons, Barbara Yeager, Marjorie Jennings. 14
