ROBERT B. FRENCH Superintendent of Pontiac Schools, Robert B. French, runs our school system with able supervision and the greatest amount of efficiency. He promotes good-will and co- operation among all of the schools. At every commencement exercise he gives diplomas and his regards to the graduating seniors. After receiving his degree from the University of Michigan, Mr. French taught in several Michigan and Illinois schools. He was prin- cipal at Hamtramck and superintendent at Berkley before coming to Pontiac in 1939. FRANK J, DU FRA1N Financial problems of the Pontiac school system come under the direction of our capable assistant superintendent, Frank J. Du Frain. Mr. Du Frain, who is also treasurer of the Board of Education, is in charge of the Board of Education offices located on Patterson street. His efficiency in all undertakings makes him an out- standing administrator. E, C. RUSSELL Mr. E. C. Russell is the director of voca- tional and adult education in the Pontiac schools. Mr. Russell attended Western State Col- lege of Education and Wheaton College. For the past twenty-two years the Pon- tiac school system has had his capable and efficient services.

GEORGE L, CLARK George L. Clark fills the position of Di- rector of Curriculum in the Secondary Schools. In addition to the work on cur- riculum, he helps Pontiac employers solve the problem of labor shortage by oper- ating a student placement office. Through this program, many students have come to know him. This year Mr. Clark is also adviser of the Quiver. OLA B, HILLER Assisting Mr. Thors in the supervision of Pontiac High is Miss Ola Hiller. She is also faculty adviser of the Student Coun- cil. Many students have become ac- quainted with her in the classroom as she teaches speech and has charge of the radio workshop. Her pleasing per- sonality and winning smile make her a friend of everyone. JOHN THORS, JR. Everyone is familiar with the principal of Pon- tiac Senior High School. From the 10th grade through the 12th, he does everything to make our school days pleasant. He is interested and willing to devote his time to all school func- tions to help the students. At the beginning of the semester, he can be found working with students regarding their schedules. Senior credits and curriculums are taken care of by him each semester. For the splendid supervision of our school, the students give their thanks to Mr. John Thors, Jr.
