Perfectionists at Work multi -x u C1 The Pontiac Northern Orchestra is an ensemble of talent which takes a lot of skill and practice to become a member. Every year. Mr. Holliday prepares his orchestra for concerts at places in the community as well as at Northern. upper left, row 1: Nikki Pearson or jackie Freeman row 2: Chelisar Donnell, joe Bray, Allison Clascock. Darin Mc-Mahon. 61 Akinyemi Brown. upper right: Nikki Pearson is an excellent Cellist. Her bow gracefully glides over the strings of the Cello above. Mr. Holliday is the director ol' this petit ensemble. He meets with his group during first hour of the day left. Akinyemi Brown takes pride in playinqhis Bass. The Bass. as well as the other members in the Violin family, is .1 very tough instrument to p ay,

4.1. V , Marching Huskies - The Spirit of The Marching Huskies are most respon- sihle for the spirit at Northern. They put a lot of time in and out of the classroom to perfect their marcliinig and playing. At the beginning ofthe year, almost eyery after- noon was spent out on the field practicing. The hand gets into it's formations by intri- cate steps and patterns. This year, the Marching Huskies got a special invitation to play for the President of the United States, Ronald Reagan. 'i jeff Ber Strom and the other Marching Huskies are out on the held practicing. Homecoming is a very iinlportant time forthe Marching Huskies. The Homecoming game is the one that most Northern students atten .
