For the first time in Northern's history the Sophomores had the thrill of receiving their class rings early. Although aroused with much anticipation they shall not experience the joy, pride nor excitement when receiving them as Juniors. They will find many changes taking place in the years ahead and their High School years will prove to be their most important. When they began school in September, they not only found themselves lost and unaware, but on the outside. One by one they emerged and one by one they became involved. The Sophomores proved to the upper classmen that they existed, were human, and determined to reach their individual goals. Together they shall observe the changes and build their futures. Class ,IF '74 Being a class officer is a big responsibility as any of these five people can tell you. It involves a lot of extra work and spare time. Elections were held in mid-January and placed in office were Brenda Alexander, Pres., Debby Taylor, Vice Pres., Michelle Revis, Treas., Gale Clark, Sec., and Evelyn Pierce, Historian. This year the class officers supervised the sophomore class in numerous bake sales and a dance marathon which was held in April.
