,,.a-1 1 So Out of inner darkness and chaos comes the light of maturity and personal fulfillment. The sophomore year is a time of mal and error, during which the light may seem dim and far away. Therefore the mission of the sophomores is to keep it burning steadily instead of letting it be snuffed out by the winds of apathy. Gare! Get involved with the school and its varied activities. The onlv way to success is through personal involvement. Don 't be frightened by the size of Northern. Eventually the sea of faces will separate into individuals, each having ideas which will be either helpful or injurious to you and your mission, and should be judged accordingly. If you stumble back into the darkness, you may lose sight of your goals, making it even more difficult to attain them. Think about each step before you take it. Such measured progress will surebz make your mission smoother and let the light of success shine in. Good Luck.
