There were taricil stall. SECRETARIAL STAFF As I look back on my first days at Northern I remember all the cheerfulness and helpfulness of the secretaries here. When lwas sent to the office on an errand for one of my teachers, I was thankful that they were there to smile and say, MY I help you? , And as I continued through my years there were many more instances when they came to my assistance. They were never too busy with their typing or with theirfiling to stop and help any student. Whether in the attendance office, main office, or in the bookstore, they were always therewith a friend- ly smile willing to help the students. U. of M, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION Whenever I think of the enormity of Pontiac Northern High School, schooling over 1800 students, lthink of how great a responsibility it would be to run it. There are so many problems connected with operat- ing a school of this size. And, of course, there are many complications that arise as to scheduling and report cards. All these automatically become the responsibility of the school administration. ln the hands of these men rest the decisions that affect each and every Northern student. I remember how at first I naturally resented the authority of all the administrators. But, as I came to realize the vast extent of their iob, I also came to respect their iudge- ment and discipline.
