Still the best way to get there ..-gbfi. Along about 1850, a square named Edward Philpots said-Paddle your own canoe. And despite the pas- sage of years and the changing times, his advice remains as modern as the missile. For these are the days of choice and challenge: College. Business School. Special skill training. A job. And each choice offers its own special challenge filled with excitement and adventure. Your friends at GMC congratulate you and wish you success. We open to you the door of employment opportunity. We are also anxious to help qualified students gain entry into General Motors Institute. But regardless of the choice you make or the way you round off the square advice of Mr. Philpots, we hope that you will choose to paddle your own canoe. It's still the best way to get there . . . and the most gratifying, too. GMC TRUCK 8c COACH . . . THE PIRATES OF PENZANCEU . . . or THE SLAVE OF DUTY , which is its subtitle, was the delightfully satirical operetta by W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan which was put on by the Pontiac Northern Choir in October of 1960. The performances which included one matinee and two evening performances were the result of the combined efforts of the Vocal, Drama, and Art Departments under the direction of Melvin Lari- mer, Anthony Chiarilli, and John Silvonen. The result was thoroughly delightful and satisfying performances acffompanied by a 30-piece orches- tra for the large audiences. DON'T CRY. JERRY' . . . it's only make-up in your eyes. I nllfnv' mail 31 , Un l I . fl l 2 l l You, today's graduate, are entering an exciting new era where you will live better than any generation has ever lived before-the era of all-electric living. Your all-electric home for example, thanks to time-saving electric equipment and appliances, will allow you and your family more time to enjoy life together. Your job will be smoother too. Electricity, in everything from office equip- ment to heavy machinery, will lighten your work-make it more enjoyable. lf you decide on further education, your field of study may well be related to electricity. Perhaps someday, as a scientist or technician, you will even- . lend your knowledge to further mold the all-electric world of tomorrow. But wherever the future finds you, whatever your place in life, electricity will be there to help you live better than everbefore-live better electrically.
