S Theme of new school - Gratitude . . . We owe our beautiful school to the foresight and planning of Dr. Dana Whitmer. Superintendent of Schools, and the Board of Education. The people responsible for this accomplishment include Mrs. W. Mahilek, Mr. L. Schimmel, Mr. G. Criffen, Mr. W. Anderson, Mr. M. Osmun, Dr. Whitmer, Dr. Codsell, and Rev. Parker. The administrative abilities and realization of the needs of Pontiac's students through the years is greatly appreciated by the students, the teachers, and the community which Dr. Whitmer and the Board of Education serve. The COUNSELORS, Mrs. Morrow, Miss Murphy, Mr. Maturo, Miss Jacobs, Mr. Duffy, Mr. Rotsel. and Mr. Hutchins, aid the students of Northern in selecting the correct subjects that pertain to their Curriculums. Counseling also includes helping students to solve problems that develop during their high school years.

Mr. Linquist. assistant principal, also performs duties which help to keep Pontiac Northern on a smooth and efficient basis. These tasks include Mr. Linquist acting as head of the guidance program. students program schedule, rings, pins, caps, and gowns committee. He also is the advisor to the Stu- dent Counvil, the senior class, and the National Honor Society. As a result.
