It was only through your constant guidance and supervision that we have achieved so much this year. The organizing of a large high school such as Northern was a tremendous task which you have performed excellently. Coming into an unoompleted school, and end- ing the year with an efficient staff, a completed plant, and a co- operative attitude among students and faculty alike, illustrates your great powers of supervision. A good example of your guidance is our Student Council which has done so much to benefit our school and community in its short, but productive life. we sincerel Y appreciate the opportunity to have such a qualified person as our principal. You have not only rendered a great service to Northern High, but also to Pontiac in general, as a teacher in junior high and high school, and then as an elementary and junior high school principal. You have worked sincerely efficientl and , y, conscien- tiously to achieve your ultimate goal, the improvement of educa- tion in Pontiac. we congratulate you for reachin th g e extremely responsible position of principal of Northern High. Looking back on the steps you have taken to achieve it, we know that you will go on striving to make Northern High School a school we can be proud of, not only now, but in the future. These guys at Motor Trend really know what they're talking about. They test all the new cars. Just like l've been saying, any car that looks as sharp as the new Pontiac, 'moves' like it does, and is such a 'ball' to drive, is bound to be something special. The selection of the 1959 Pontiac as CAR OF THE YEAR, by Motor Trend Magazine came as no surprise to those who really know cars. As the editors said, Pontiac with Wide-Track Wheels is the best combination of ride, handling, per- formance and styling of any '59 car. Pontiac is as much at home at the drive-in as it is at the country club. Whether it's a stick shift Catalina Coupe, with Tri-Power Lthree two- barrel carbsb or a Bonneville Vista with the new Tempest 420B economy engine, Pontiac is ready to show new pride and new performance unavail- able in any other car. And every Pontiac is built to handle this great performance. Its Wide-Track Wheel design moves the wheels five L53 inches farther apart for better balance and stability. This widens the stance, not the car. Gives it a safer, steadier grip on the road that no narrow track car can match. Stop by your nearest authorized Pontiac dealer soon and put this great lm ' new car through its paces. T2233 AWARD C America's Number QD Road Car!
